The granddaughter of the woman who died after a rail crash in Cumbria has said her family is "distraught". | |
Margaret Masson, 84, from the Cardonald area of Glasgow, died following the Virgin train derailment at Grayrigg, near Kendal, on Saturday evening. | |
Her granddaughter Margaret Jones, 41, said that her mother and father were in the same carriage as Mrs Masson. | |
Margaret Langley, 61, and Richard Langley, 63, are in a "very serious condition" in hospital in Preston. | |
Mrs Jones said: "We are devastated by the death of our nan and about mum and dad being so very poorly. | |
"We are distraught but we are all here for our parents and we ask that we are left alone to cope during this difficult time." | |
