Teenager injured in knife attack Youth released after knife attack

A 16-year-old youth has suffered serious injuries after he was attacked and stabbed in west Belfast. A 16-year-old questioned about the stabbing of a 39-year-old man has been released pending police reports.
The man suffered multiple knife wounds in the attack at a house in Willowfield, east Belfast, at about 0100 GMT on Saturday.
He is recovering in hospital where his injuries are described as serious, but not life threatening.

The victim had just left a takeaway food outlet opposite the Twinbrook estate when he was stabbed in the left side. And in Ballymena, a man was attacked at James Street at about 0200 GMT on Saturday.
He ended up lying in the middle of the road and people who stopped to help said he was bleeding and drifting in and out of consciousness.
He was transferred to hospital where his condition has been described as stable.
It is understood that he is from the nearby Poleglass estate.

In a separate attack in east Belfast, a 39-year-old man has suffered multiple stab wounds.
