Version 0 of 1.

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is trying to free his brother from prison in Bali after he was caught with heroin.

Ronnie Ramsay, 39, who is a drug addict, faces up to 10 years in jail after he was charged with possessing a small amount of the Class A drug.

A spokeswoman for the chef confirmed that representatives were flying out to the Indonesian island.

Ronnie Ramsay, who lives in Indonesia, was charged on Friday and is being offered Foreign Office assistance.

The Michelin-starred chef and star of ITV1's Hell's Kitchen has repeatedly tried to help his younger brother by paying for rehabilitation programmes.

He told Waitrose Food Illustrated before the arrest: "I feel the pain, I feel it big time. I don't think that my mum at 60 should still be putting up with it.

"It is hard dealing with Ronnie. He is a major responsibility. It is like having an 18-year-old to look after."
