Police investigating a string of indecent assaults in Aberdeen have arrested a man. A man has appeared in court charged with assaulting four women in Aberdeen after a CCTV picture appeal.
The 27-year-old was detained just hours after images of a suspect were released to the public. Miguel Fernandez Costa, 27, of Aberdeen's Don Street, made no plea at the city's sheriff court and was remanded in custody.
The man is being reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with four attacks on women between September and December last year. Senior fiscal depute Jim Craigen said afterwards that the accused was charged with four assaults between September and December last year.
On Monday, officers released two pictures of a suspect which were taken from CCTV footage. Grampian Police had made an arrest just hours after CCTV images were released.
