Jurors heard details of 32 assaults on London Underground trains, when items including iPods, mobile phones, watches and cash were stolen.
Police said the gang was responsible for up to 70 attacks on the Underground, most of them in north west London. Property worth thousands of pounds was stolen.
The gang compiled a robbery guide to Underground stations, found in the bedroom of one of the members.
Stations were rated according to their police presence and the likelihood that victims would resist.
The Kensal Green Gang's attacks culminated in the murder of 31-year-old Mr ap Rhys Pryce at Kensal Green Tube station in north west London.

He was stabbed repeatedly as Carty and Brown robbed him of his mobile phone, Oyster travel card and £20 in cash.
Carty and Brown were jailed for life for his killing at the Old Bailey in December 2006.
On Monday Toyan Vassall, 18, from Stanmore, Ishmael Cowell, 23, and Harry Bees, 17, both from Harrow, and Kariem Al-Ebadi, 18, from Willesden, were convicted of conspiracy to rob.
Vassall, Cowell and Bees were also found guilty of three charges of wounding with intent.
They will be sentenced on 19 March with two other gang members, who admitted conspiracy to rob and some of the individual attacks.
They were Aaron Dennis, 19, from Harrow, and Sebastian Chidi, 19, from Notting Hill.
Another defendant - Andre Lake, 22, from Kenton - was cleared of the conspiracy count after maintaining he was with the gang but played no part in the robberies.
