Sex attack on woman at university | |

A woman in her 20s was the victim of a serious sexual assault in the grounds of Queen's University in Belfast on Saturday night, police have confirmed. | |
The attack happened some time between 2330 GMT and midnight. | |
The victim was walking from Botanic Avenue towards the Lisburn Road, when a man with a knife forced her into a secluded area and attacked her. | |
The woman, who is not a student, has been left extremely traumatised by her ordeal. | |
The attacker is believed to be in his mid-20s, about 5ft 5ins tall and clean shaven. | |
He was wearing jeans, a blue t-shirt and jacket. | |
Part of the university's campus, behind the main Lanyon Building and the university library, was cordoned off on Monday and officers conducted a search of the grounds. | |
