A teenager is recovering in hospital after being shot in the back during an attack in the street. Three men are recovering in hospital after being shot in two attacks, just hours apart, in Manchester.
The 18-year-old was injured on Friday night, in the Moss Side area of Manchester. Two men, aged 19 and 27, were wounded when gunmen shot at the car they were in at traffic lights on Stockport Road, Longsight, in the early hours.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said, although the bullet may be lodged in his body. On Friday night, an 18-year-old man was shot in the back in Raby Street, Moss Side, close to the spot where Jessie James was murdered.
The incident, in Raby Street, took place close to where 15-year-old Jessie James was shot dead in September last year. His killer has not been found. Police said the shootings were not thought to be linked.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said the shooting on Friday took place at about 2100 GMT. The latest incident took place at about 0215 GMT at the junction of Stockport Road and Dickenson Road.

A passing car opened fire at the Nissan Primera the men were sitting in and the 19-year-old suffered a wound to the arm while the other man suffered a gun shot wound to the back.
Both men were taken to hospital though neither of their injuries are thought to be life-threatening, police said.
Detectives believe the occupants of a silver Mercedes car seen in the area at the time may have been responsible and are appealing for witnesses.
Det Insp Brian King, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "This is a busy thoroughfare with lots of takeaways nearby. It's highly likely that this incident was witnessed by members of the public."
