Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said the van's driver pulled over when the vehicle became engulfed by flames near junction 2 for Alvechurch by Hopwood Park Services. | |
Firefighters extinguished the flames, with travel delays building up towards junction 1 for Bromsgrove as traffic was held. | |
The fire service said nobody was injured during the incident, and gritting teams had been called to ensure the water used by crews did not freeze and cause a further hazard. | |
