Lily Allen, Muse, Snow Patrol and Gnarls Barkley lead the field at the UK music industry's biggest night of the year, the Brit Awards. Music stars from the UK and beyond are being honoured at the Brit Awards ceremony at Earls Court in London.
Stars have gathered for the ceremony at Earls Court, London, where the four acts are up for three awards each. Muse, Gnarls Barkley, Snow Patrol and Lily Allen are up for three gongs each.
The ceremony is being broadcast live on TV for the first time since 1989, with comedian Russell Brand the host. Rock band Muse took the first prize, for best British live act, voted for by BBC Radio 2 listeners - the second time they have won the award.
