Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed Mr Ellery had been found safe and well. "My dad is alive he has been found in Ireland," she said in a Facebook post, external.
Coastguards in Milford Haven said Mr Ellery had attempted to cross the Irish Sea, but broke down without communications.
He was able to get to the coast of County Wicklow and made his way to the local police station.
Garda (Irish police) officers confirmed to coastguards in Milford Haven that he was safe and well.
