Police believe a van stolen in Newtownards at the weekend has since been used in two burglaries.

The white Iveco panel van was stolen from the premises of Salad Fayre on the Jubilee Road some time between 1730 GMT on Friday and 1000 GMT on Saturday.

The van has the company logo in purple on both sides.

It is thought to have been used in burglaries at a farm on the Ballyrainey Road and at a car parts business on the Crawfordsburn Road in Newtownards.

The items stolen during the burglaries include pressure washing equipment, industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, computer equipment and printers.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who has seen the van since Friday evening or any suspicious activity in the area of the three incidents.

They have also appealed for anyone who is offered any equipment like that stolen to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
