There has been trouble following the Irish Cup football match between Glentoran and Portadown at the Oval in east Belfast.

Police were called shortly before 1700 GMT after disturbances between fans in the Mersey Street and Dee Street areas outside the ground.

There have been several reports of missiles being thrown, and a number of cars were damaged.

No injuries have been reported and the area is now quiet, police said.

Police officers have now left the area.

During the trouble there were reports of stones being thrown at cars on the nearby Sydenham bypass.

The match finished a 2-2 draw, with Glentoran equalising in the last minute.
