Club attack treated as murder bid

A 42-year-old man was seriously injured following a disturbance in a social club in Glasgow, police said.

It is believed he was hurt after an argument with another man at the Rolls Royce social club in Beech Avenue, Govan, at about 2345 GMT on Friday.

The injured man was taken to the Southern General Hospital where he was treated for face and neck injuries. His condition was described as stable.

Police are treating the incident as attempted murder.
