A sixth man is due to appear in court on charges related to an alleged plan to kidnap and kill a British soldier. A man accused of withholding information about an alleged plot to kidnap and kill a British soldier has been remanded in custody.
Basiru Gassama, 29, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court accused of withholding information about a potential act of terrorism. Basiru Gassama, 29, spoke only to give his name and date of birth during the 45-minute hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
Five other men appeared at the court on Friday and were remanded in custody. Among them was Parviz Khan, 36, who was charged with plotting the kidnap. Five other men, arrested with Mr Gassama during raids in Birmingham, were remanded in custody on Friday.
