Man is injured in city shooting

A 29-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in Nottingham in the early hours of Friday morning.

Nottinghamshire Police said they were called to the scene close to Rushworth Close in St Ann's, by the ambulance service.

The victim, whose injuries are not life threatening, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment.

A police spokesman said officers are carrying out house-to-house inquiries in the area.
