Oliver Mawdsley's mother said he was her "whole world" and a "beautiful boy"

A 17-year-old boy who died at a business premises had a "caring heart", his mother has said.

Oliver Mawdsley died in what police described as a "workplace accident" in Bury, Greater Manchester, on Thursday.

Two men, aged 36 and 41, were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. The older man was also held on suspicion of driving offences. Both have been released on bail.

Paying tribute, the teenager's mother Samantha said he was her "whole world".

She said he had a "big, kind, caring heart" and a "beautiful smile that lit up the room".

"I will miss every single piece of you. My heart is broken and I wish I could just bring you home with me where you belong," she added.

A joint investigation by the police and the Health and Safety Executive has been launched.
