Version 0 of 1.

Detectives have pledged no "let up" in the hunt for the killers of a young father who was shot dead shortly after confronting youths.

Two weeks after Peter Woodhams died near his home in Canning Town, east London, police will return to the scene to talk to drivers and commuters.

Father-of-one Mr Woodhams, 22, was shot just before 1900 BST on 21 August.

Police have been criticised for their response to a previous attack on Mr Woodhams in the area in January.

His fiancée claimed she called police every day for five weeks, but did not get a satisfactory response.

We will not let up on our efforts to bring Peter's killer or killers to justice Det Ch Insp Ian Stevenson

The people who stabbed Mr Woodhams in January were not caught.

Last week Dep Com Paul Stephenson said, based on what had been seen so far, aspects of the police response to the stabbing had been "unacceptable".

He said the force had now ordered a review of all outstanding investigations into GBH assaults across London.

On Monday officers will return to the scene of the shooting between 1800 and 2000 BST, hoping to speak to people who were in the area at the time.

Det Ch Insp Ian Stevenson said: "We will not let up on our efforts to bring Peter's killer or killers to justice.

"This further appeal is just one part of a very intensive murder investigation and I would appeal to anyone who may have been coming home from work around 7pm on Monday 21st August to speak to my officers tomorrow."
