Dale's mother, Angela, thanked friends for laying floral tributes at the car park.
'Complete tragedy'
She said: "We are deeply shocked by what has happened and are struggling to come to terms with the loss of our son.
"It has left a huge hole in our lives and left us reeling - we still can't believe what has happened.
"It is every parent's nightmare when you say goodbye to your son when he goes off to meet his friends on a Saturday night, only to find out later that he won't be coming home again.
"It is a complete tragedy that he has been taken from us.
"We are completely numbed by the whole situation. His younger brother and sister are completely devastated. We all are."
