Of the 45 cases of E.coli linked to Godstone Farm, 12 are children being treated in hospital. Four of them remain seriously ill. The number of cases of E.coli linked to Godstone Farm now stands at 49, according to the HPA.
Six children are in a stable condition, and two were described as "improving" by the HPA on Thursday. Of those, nine are children being treated in hospital. One is due to be discharged later and the others are described as "stable".
