Attack victim 'remains critical'

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted in west Belfast.

The victim, in his twenties, was found with serious head injuries outside a bowling club on the Andersonstown Road at about 2330 GMT on Friday.

Detectives are attempting to discover a motive for the attack and how the man received his injuries.

A police spokesman has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
