“The image taken today at 08:23 Moscow time shows the south polar crater Zeeman on the far side of the Moon. The coordinates of the center of the crater correspond to 75 degrees south latitude and 135 degrees west longitude,” the state space corporation said. “The images obtained significantly complement the currently available information about this crater.” The breakthrough images were of the enormous Zeeman crater, featuring sides which rise almost eight kilometers (5 miles) above the lunar surface.
