Version 0 of 1.

A pupil has been excluded from a school after fellow children were shot with a ball bearing gun, BBC Scotland has learned.

The incidents happened at Cults Academy in Aberdeen.

One child was believed to have been hit in the face and another was shot in the chest.

An Aberdeen City Council spokesman confirmed that a male pupil had been excluded from the school. The matter is being investigated by Grampian Police.

'Procurator fiscal'

Police confirmed they had received allegations of a ball bearing gun or something similar being discharged within the Cults Academy premises during the past three days.

There were no serious injuries.

A Grampian Police spokesman said: "This is being treated as a minor incident and we are following a positive line of enquiry.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."

Cults Academy has a strong education reputation and is in what is regarded as one of Aberdeen's more affluent suburbs.
