Two men, one carrying a handgun, entered the house on the Ballygroobey Road in Moneymore on Tuesday at about 1500 GMT and demanded money. They hit him across the face, poured petrol over him and took him upstairs where he was immersed in the bath. The men then tied him up before making off with bank cards, foreign currency, three firearms, ammunition and a watch. They were wearing dark suits and had shaven heads. One was 5ft 10ins, the other was about 6ft. A police spokesperson said they were driving a large silver vehicle, possibly a people carrier. |
