A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of 90-year-old widow more than a year ago. A 38-year-old man has been released on police bail after being questioned in connection with the murder of a 90-year-old widow a year ago.
The man is to be questioned on suspicion of perverting the course of justice over Elsie Hughes' death. Elsie Hughes died in hospital after she was badly beaten at her home in the village of Abermorddu near Wrexham.
North Wales Police made an appeal for fresh information on the anniversary of the attack at her home in Abermorddu, near Wrexham, earlier this month. The man, from Buckley in Flintshire, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
In July, two men were jailed for perverting the course of justice in relation to Mrs Hughes' murder. North Wales Police said the man had been given bail while more inquiries are carried out.
