Dean Tully, 37, of no fixed address, was shot in the head at Fraser House, Green Dragon Lane, in Brentford on Thursday night. Another man who was shot remains in a stable condition in hospital. Meanwhile a pet dog suffered a bullet wound to the leg. Police have confirmed the victims were shot with a machine gun which is yet to be recovered. 'Shocking and isolated' Earlier a resident told BBC News a gunman had got into a first floor flat and fired three shots. A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Tully died from multiple gunshot wounds. Supt Simon Phipps said: "This is a shocking and isolated incident on Hounslow borough. "While the investigating team are progressing the investigation we have been working closely with the local authority and our partner agencies to try and reassure the community." Police are continuing to keep an open mind about the motive. They are exploring all lines of inquiry including the possibility those who either live or visit the address may have been targeted. On Sunday police appealed for people who were at the flat to come forward. |
