Police investigate abduction bid

An attempted abduction of a schoolboy in County Antrim is being investigated by police.

A large dark saloon car, with left-hand drive, stopped near a playpark on the Duneany Road, Rasharkin, shortly after 2100 BST on Saturday.

The driver asked a 12-year-old boy to come over to the car but he refused.

Police are investigating a possible link to another case when an eight-year-old girl was approached in similar circumstances in the same area.
