A bomb has exploded near a mosque in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, officials said. A bomb explosion in Pakistan's north-western city of Peshawar has killed at least 10 people, including two senior policemen, officials say.
One official told Reuters news agency that up to 10 police had been killed. A government minister said they included two of the city's senior officers. Many other people were injured by the blast near a mosque just before a Shia religious procession was to start.
