A cyclist has been killed in a town centre crash involving multiple vehicles. A cyclist in his 30s was killed in a town centre crash involving three cars.
Emergency services were called to Vernon Street, Ipswich, at 21:58 BST on Thursday, Suffolk police said. The crash, at about 22:00 BST on Thursday in Vernon Street, Ipswich, involved Skoda, Volkswagen and Audi cars.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are being questioned by police. Police said the Audi driver left the vehicle and fled the scene.
The road, close to Ipswich Waterfront, remains closed between Stoke Bridge to the Hawes Street roundabout. Police have appealed for witnesses. A man in his 20s was later arrested at an address in Shotley on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
