A two seater light aircraft has crashed in Lincolnshire. A two-seater light aircraft has crashed into a field in Lincolnshire.
The aircraft is thought to have come down near the river Ancholme at Bishop Norton near Market Rasen. The plane is thought to have come down near the river Ancholme at Bishop Norton near Market Rasen.
A Sea King rescue helicopter and an air ambulance have been dispatched to the scene. Lincolnshire Police said there was only the pilot on board the aircraft, which crashed away from any buildings or housing.
More soon. The crash was reported to emergency services at 1435 BST. An RAF search and rescue team along with fire and rescue teams are at the scene.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch of the Department for Transport has been informed.
The pilot's condition is not known.
