Train drivers from 12 rail companies are expected to resume strikes at the start of October. A wave of strike action by rail workers over pay and conditions will resume at the start of October.
Unions had previously cancelled industrial action, because of the Queen's death. Strikes that were planned in September were cancelled because of the Queen's death.

Drivers at 12 rail companies will strike on 1 and 5 October, the BBC understands. Members of the RMT, Aslef and TSSA unions will strike on 1 October. This is the day before the London Marathon and the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham.
Their union, Aslef, is not expected to offer confirmation until after the Queen's funeral. The RMT represents rail workers including guards and signalling staff, and its action will affect routes across England, Scotland and Wales.
However, the LNER rail company said the union had informed it of strikes on these dates. Train drivers at 12 operators who are members of Aslef will join the strike, as will TSSA members at Network Rail and 11 operators.
It is expected to disrupt the Conservative Party conference, from 2 to 5 October in Birmingham. It may also disrupt the London Marathon, on 2 October. The action will leave some areas with no services running at all.
Strikes planned by other rail unions for 15, 17 and 26 September were suspended following the death of the Queen. There will also be strikes on 5 October (Aslef) and 8 October (RMT).
TSSA members will hold further strikes at some companies: At CrossCountry on 5 October, at Great Western Railway on 6 October, and at Avanti and c2c on 8 October.
Revised timetables are being drawn up. Disruption is also expected on the days after the strike days, with services starting later than normal.
