Three pupils have been excluded from the former school of murdered black teenager Anthony Walker after footage of racial abuse was posted on the web.

The clip of an Asian teacher at Knowsley Hey School in Huyton, Merseyside, was filmed on a mobile phone and put onto the YouTube website.

It showed a male supply teacher struggling to control a rowdy class.

One pupil was heard mimicking an Asian accent and the word "Paki" was also heard. The clip has since been removed.

Other footage posted on the site featured a 14-year-old pupil at the school being so-called "happy slapped". This has also been taken down from the website.

Gee Walker, whose son Anthony was murdered in a racist attack, said she was appalled at the incidents at the school her son attended.

She said: "It's sad and I hoped lessons would have been learned after Anthony's death."

Anthony, 18, was bludgeoned with an ice axe as he tried to walk away from two men in Huyton in July 2005.

The pair, Michael Barton, 17, and Paul Taylor, 20, were jailed for life.

A spokeswoman for both Knowsley Hey School and Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council said that the school and education authority were "appalled and upset" by the incidents.

She said: "Anti-racism procedures and systems to report such incidents are in place.

"There are also procedures in place to protect all teaching staff, and teachers have a duty to report any incidents of hate crime, bullying or harassment.

"The council and the police are now carrying out an investigation and will consider whether to take legal proceedings."
