Boston United manager Steve Evans has admitted a fraud charge at his trial at a London court.

He and former club chairman Pat Malkinson changed their plea to guilty of conspiring to cheat the public revenue at Southwark Crown Court.

Club general manager John Blackwell and ex-club accountants Brian James and Ian Lee deny the same charge.

The proceedings are expected to last four weeks. Evans and Malkinson will be sentenced at the end of the trial.
