Scotland celebrates armed forces Arrests at Armed Services event

The first ever Armed Forces day is being celebrated with national events being held across the country. One person has been injured and a number of arrests made during an Armed Forces Day event in Glasgow.
The special day was created to allow the public to show their appreciation for the work of serving personnel and veterans. Sectarian songs and chants were also heard during the incident in George Street, as a service was being conducted in George Square.
Events are being held in towns and cities across the UK to allow the public to show its appreciation for the work of serving personnel and veterans.
It is the first time an Armed Forces Day has been held.
