Radio DJ Neil Fox has become the first celebrity to be booted off the new series of ITV's Dancing on Ice.

The judges sent Fox home after he faced a "skate-off" with Sky News presenter Kay Burley to decide who should go.

An average of 8.6 million people tuned in to the show on ITV1 on Saturday, according to overnight ratings.

It beat The Weakest Link and The National Lottery, which were on BBC One at the same time and which attracted between four and five million viewers.
