Two people have died in two separate road collisions in Cornwall. | |
A woman from the Helston area died in a crash between a bus and a car on the B3297 between Redruth and Helston on Wednesday afternoon. | |
Later the same day an 18-year-old man died and three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash at Winnards Perch on the B3274. | |
Both roads were closed for several hours to allow accident investigators to examine the scenes. | |
The single-decker bus and car collision occurred at about 1455 BST. | |
The female passenger of the car, a Vauxhall Astra, died at the scene. The driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken to Treliske with serious leg and chest injuries. Both are from the Helston area. | |
One passenger on the bus suffered minor injuries. | |

Police and the fire brigade were called to the collision at Winnards Perch, near St Columb Major, involving a Rover Mini, a Renault Scenic and a Volkswagen Polo at about 2230 BST. | |
