A man aged 65 has died after he was apparently accidentally crushed by a vehicle at business premises in Aberdeen on Wednesday morning. The emergency services were called to Nortruck Services at Minto Drive in Altens just before 0800 BST. The Scottish Ambulance Service told the BBC Scotland news website that their crew "unfortunately were not required". Police later confirmed the fatality. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is investigating. A Grampian Police spokesperson said: "A 65-year-old male was fatally injured in an industrial accident. Although the investigation is in the early stages, it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances at this stage." A post mortem examination will be carried out and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. No-one at Nortruck was available for comment. Grampian Fire and Rescue Service was also called to the industrial accident. |
