A permanent member of staff at Sandhurst has been diagnosed with swine flu, the Ministry of Defence has said.

The employee at the Royal Military Academy, on the Berkshire and Surrey border, has been receiving medical treatment in isolation since last week.

All soldiers reporting sick with flu-like symptoms are being screened in line with Health Protection Agency guidelines, the MoD said.

"A small number of cadets are currently being tested," it said in a statement.
