Police have appealed for help in identifying 11 men in connection with disturbances in the Holylands area of Belfast on St Patrick's Day this year. Riot police were called to the area after a car was vandalised when hundreds of people spilled out on to the streets from house parties. A number of officers were hurt in the disturbance after they were attacked with missiles, including fireworks. So far, 13 people have been charged in connection with the incident. The disturbances were mainly concentrated in Carmel Street and Agincourt Avenue although the surrounding area was also affected. The Public Order Enquiries Team, which is investigating this incident, released CCTV images of individuals which were taken on the day. A police spokesman said anyone with information could either call detectives on 0845 600 8000 and ask for Musgrave Street CID, or alternatively they could call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111. |
