It is understood the brother and sister, who were travelling in the same car, were in their late teens/early 20s and from the Loup area. The siblings' family run a caravan business family in the Loup area.
"I'm so sad that two young lives have been lost on the roads yet again," said SDLP Councillor Mary Baker. "This is just a horrific accident and I'm so sad that two young lives have been lost on the roads yet again," said SDLP Councillor Mary Baker.
"I express my deepest, deepest sympathies to their family." Ms Baker is a neighbour of the deceased and has known them since they were children.
The siblings' deaths bring the number of people killed on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year to 52. "They were so full of life, just like everyone at that age and full of personality," she continued.
"It's a terribly sad loss, just the worst kind possible. It's hard to express in words just how awful this is.
"I express my deepest, deepest sympathies to their family, and their large extended family."
The two deaths bring the number of people killed on Northern Ireland's roads so far this year to 52.
