Version 0 of 1.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted kidnapping after a 33-year-old man was shot in the torso outside a pub in Merseyside.

He was one of three teenagers arrested after the attack outside The Lobster public house in Moss Way, Croxteth at 2315 BST on Friday.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his side and is in a critical but stable condition.

Two boys, aged 15, were arrested, one on suspicion of possessing ammunition.

The other was released on bail pending further inquiries.

The arrests were made after officers raided two houses in Croxteth and found ammunition in one of the homes.

A 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing ammunition and cannabis.

A police spokeswoman said his arrest was not connected to the shooting.

Det Supt Paul Richardson urged people to come forward with information and said that "special measures would be put in place to protect witnesses."
