Man 'critical' after disturbance Youth charged over town assault

A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after a fight broke out in Omagh, County Tyrone, police have said. A 16-year-old youth has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm in connection with an assault in Omagh.
The incident took place at Scarffes Entry in the town at about 0400 BST on Saturday. He is expected to appear in court in the town on Wednesday.
The man was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry with a serious head injury and has been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. A 21-year-old man is in a critical condition following the incident, which took place at Scarffes Entry at about 0400 BST.
