Pair injured in village assault

Two men have been assaulted in Bessbrook, County Armagh.

The attack happened during a disturbance in Cloughrea Park on Friday night.

The men, who are in their late teens, have been treated in hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

During the trouble, a man was seen with what appeared to be a handgun. The police later arrested a man in his 20s and recovered a pellet gun.
