Man arrested over woman's murder

A man has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of murder after the discovery of a woman's body at a bungalow in Liverpool.

The body of the 45-year-old woman was found at the address in Simm's Road in Tuebrook on Friday afternoon.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "A 67-year-old man was arrested at the property on suspicion of murder.

"A post-mortem was conducted and the results have been withheld pending further examinations."

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the woman's death to contact the force or Crimestoppers.
