Labour has gained two council ward seats from the SNP in by-elections in Glasgow City and North Lanarkshire. Labour has won three council ward by-elections - taking two of the seats from the SNP.
SNP MSPs Bill Kidd and John Wilson stood down from their council roles to concentrate on Holyrood. The Anniesland/Drumchapel ward in Glasgow, vacated by SNP MSP Bill Kidd, was won by Labour's Anne McTaggart.
In Glasgow, Scottish Labour's Anne McTaggart took Mr Kidd's place in the Anniesland/Drumchapel ward. The Coatbridge North and Glenboig ward in North Lanarkshire, vacated by SNP MSP John Wilson, was won by Labour's Peter Sullivan.
And in North Lanarkshire, Labour's Peter Sullivan took Mr Wilson's position in the Coatbridge North and Glenboig ward. In East Dunbartonshire, Labour's Alan Moir held the Bishopbriggs South ward following the death of Alex Hannah.
