Frances Tuke, from the travel association ABTA, said: "We know that there are roughly 1,500 people in Turkey at the moment.
"The CAA are very busy organising, making sure that those customers can continue with their holiday out in Turkey and will try and make sure that they return at a similar time as they were due to come back anyway."
