The Department of Health is contacting passengers who were on the same flight from London to Belfast as a man who has tested positive for swine flu. An 18-year-old man diagnosed as the second person in Northern Ireland to test positive for swine flu attended Eton College, the BBC has learned.
The second Northern Ireland swine flu case was confirmed on Tuesday. A number of pupils at the college are suffering from swine flu and the school has been closed until 7 June.
The man is understood to have a link with Eton College where several people have contracted the virus. The Department of Health has said it is contacting passengers who were on the same flight as him last month between London and Belfast.
Passengers who sat near him on the 1900 BST BMI flight (BD96) from Heathrow to Belfast City Airport on 27 May are being contacted. The man has been given anti-viral treatment and is recovering at home.
