http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/northern_ireland/6274217.stm Version 0 of 1. Three women have been tied up and locked in a bathroom by a gang of men who robbed their County Down home. A woman and her daughters, aged 17 and 20, were at home on the Old Course Road, Downpatrick, when up to six armed men entered at 2050 GMT on Wednesday. Several of the intruders, all dressed in black, carried shotguns. They bound the women's wrists and demanded money. The men were in the house for about 40 minutes and fled with a substantial sum of cash. Before the gang left, the three women were barricaded into a small downstairs bathroom. The women, who were left very traumatised but physically uninjured, managed to free themselves and raise the alarm. Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the Old Course Road area at the time of the incident. |
