Workers have been told to leave their offices in north Belfast after a man thought to be carrying a quantity of fuel refused to leave. A 62-year-old man has been arrested following a stand-off at an office in north Belfast, police have said.
Police have surrounded the offices at Dargan Road. Special negotiators have been sent in. The premises in Dargan Road were evacuated at about 1030 BST on Monday after a man, thought to be carrying a quantity of fuel, refused to leave.
The man is understood to be inside an architects' office. Three fire engines are at the scene. Special negotiators were sent in and a man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and arson with intent to endanger life.
Workers were evacuated at about 1030 BST on Monday morning. Workers are now being allowed back into the office.
