Tests are being carried out on a sports car owned by a missing businessman whose girlfriend was found battered to death in a Paris hotel.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Kinga Legg, a businesswoman found battered to death in a Paris hotel.
Ian Griffin's Porsche 911 was found at his parents' home in Winwick, Warrington, on Saturday.
He was found at 1530 BST on Monday in woodland in Macclesfield, Cheshire, where it is believed he had been living rough.
Police in Paris have been searching for the 39-year-old since the body of Kinga Legga, 36, was discovered at Hotel le Bristol on Tuesday.
The arrest follows a police search for Ian Griffin, Ms Legg's boyfriend, who disappeared after she was found dead.
Cheshire police, leading local searches, have seized the Porsche.
Polish-born Ms Legg lived in Knutsford and had businesses listed in Cheshire.
A spokesman for the force said: "A car associated with Ian Griffin was recovered from a property associated with Ian Griffin and forensic examination are taking place."
Police in Paris and Cheshire had worked together to find her killer.
Cheshire Constabulary is helping the French authorities in the hunt for Mr Griffin.

Ms Legg and Mr Griffin arrived at the hotel in Paris separately last Monday, said police.
Polish-born Ms Legg's body was found on Tuesday.
French police said she had died from "internal bleeding caused by multiple blows".
Mr Griffin is understood to have left the French capital in his Porsche and returned to the UK.
The following day Mr Griffin was spotted at Shepperton Marina in Surrey, where the couple kept a speedboat, said staff at the boatyard.
Mr Griffin, originally from Warrington, previously lived in Knutsford with Ms Legg and had several businesses listed in Cheshire.
The pair later moved to a property in Oxshott in Surrey, where Ms Legg's international company Vegex, is based.
The business, which had another site in Opatowek, Poland, supplies supermarkets with tomatoes.
In 2006, Mr Griffin was declared bankrupt at Warrington County Court.
Mr Griffin and Ms Legg are understood to have been in a relationship for three years.
