"It is going to stay warm and sunny on Monday, with temperatures expected to reach 27C along the M4 corridor," Mr Dutton said. The warm temperatures are expected to continue across the UK for the beginning of the week, Mr Schafernaker added.

Next weekend will be "fairly cool and dry" but there are signs that the warmer weather could return to the south of the UK next week.
But Mr Schafernaker said that the predicted cooler temperatures would only be the average expected for this time of year, and not particularly cold.
